What sort of riding will you be doing? there are so many choices with your sort of budget the people who know about that price range will need to know how you will use the bike before they can suggest what to try.

Sportive riding 20-30 mile fitness rides 3-4 times per week.
I've got a Specialized Sectuer Sport that I use 2-3 times weekly for 40ish miles each trip and for Sportives 60+. It is so comfy but with your budget I'm sure you'd be looking for the luxury model!
