Helly Hansen or Merino

For the Cheshire Cat this Sunday, I'm intending to wear a Helly Hansen as a base layer, I was just wondering, would a merino vest be better ?

Personally, I'd call it on the day. Merino's excellent for wicking away sweat and keeping you warm. So if on the morning it's looking cool/chilly then I'd opt for merino. Merino is reported to be good in hotter weather too thought I've personally never tried it, nor would I. I always wear my DeFeet or T.ESS sleeveless base in such weather.

Smelly Helly is better for warmer weather.

Definitely Merino wool.

Great in the cold, good in the heat. Keeps you dry and pungent-free.

I prefer synthetics as Merino makes me too hot.
