Click it for a second time and it works - weird

This has been around for like 2 years now+ (and at that price or better)

Shares the same chipset as the £10 Muvi clone (the plastic one, poor choice).

I like the form factor, good for helmet mounting - sadly chipset is dire (15fps, the output is faked into being 30fps by duplicating frames).

A lot of CMOS wobble there.

A good way to test a camera out is to look at the numberplates.

Could do with a video test from a hemlet mounted POV instead.

/edit

The link in the profile is pointing to the cheap MUVI camera...

I'd like to see how that handles low light and faster movement.

Serious CMOS wobble + poor frame rate + poor light handling = useless.

It's pretty much the same (imaging) chipset though.

Look at the same youtube profile, they have some MTB video going through dim lighting, you can see the FPS drop and images becoming blurry.

The second vid by stratbasher on youtube kinda shows that, confirming I think you suspicions, but then again, its just as good if not better than the 5K which was circa 10 times the price (most of my vids are with the 5k if you want to compare).

It's a type of image recorder. Most single unit helmet cameras use them. They are more compact than ccd's.
But the quality isn't as good, and they suffer from issues with juddering. Which is why it's important to make sure they are secured properly.
