Hi there,

A spoke on my real wheel snapped and I'm trying to find a replacement but am struggling to choose the correct one. Its actually in for repair/service at Halfords and they rang to say they can't identify the correct one - so I'm hoping someone is able to help!

The bike is a Basso Laguna carbon road bike with standard size 700c wheels. I'm not 100% sure of the year of this model but I bought it second hand in 2013 so it's at least 10 years old, so the wheels will be the same.

My wheels are Shimano Ultegra and it's the rear wheel that I need the spoke for - if you can see from the photo https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52709519797_ece7387472.jpg

Any help is greatly appreciated!

A close up picture of the hub will help.

Spokes are relatively simple, unless you get into the world of straight pull spokes, bladed spokes, Mavic spokes with funky nipples, etc.

Almost anyone can/will replace a traditional J bend spoke but after that you start to struggle.....

I think they aren't generic soles but Shimano specific bladed spokes.
The are iirc inbound nipples rather than rim based nipples.

It depends on the model of your wheel , its ultegra but its hard to tell the exact model from the picture

To be fair to halfords its not the sort of thing they would carry and i expect most LBS wouldnt carry them as they look old stock and not much call for them
