Hi everyone. I have a re-sprayed Benotto which I'm trying to identify the model and age of. I think it's a Columbus of sorts.

Chainstays aren't diamond shaped. Rear drop outs are unmarked - which is making me sceptical. The tubes aren't perfectly cylindrical - they're narrow. The bottom bracket cut out is heart shaped.

I've not seen a Benotto with a stamp like that on the seat stay shoulder...

Anything that will help me identify it please?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, nice bike, looks to be a tight race frame, it looks close to the 3000 model but with custom differences, a classic 3000 can be found at 'example of 3000' , the bottom bracket has the same cutouts, but yours has a Cinelli BB, a non standard fork ( Cinelli fork crown ? ) for a standard Benotto, 'B' is not the norm, it is usually a full Benotto stamp, and a time trail type rear drop out. Sorry for creating more questions but worth digging deep, those serial numbers will be worth checking out with some Italian bike experts . Thanks Terry

I bought one recently. My fork crowns have the full benotto stamp, rear dropouts are campag stamped.
No heart in my BB but it has a straight line cutout.
At a guess,im saying mine is early 80s
