What type of riding are you doing?
What bike is it from the specialized brand?
What is your budget in case anyone wants to make a different suggestion.

Weekend riding and when it's brighter of the evening I'll be riding from London to home and the odd charity ride..... Well both these bikes aren't new there 2nd hand the specialized is a 2010 allez elite model. Have both been offered at same price which I can just afford, have been riding a careera tdf so there both an upgrade from what I already have....

Without knowing what the upgraded wheel set is on the Allez its very difficult to state for certain but I would personally take the Allez out of those two choices as not only am I a specialized fanboy but I think the Allez has a better frame than the Boardman. I would also prefer a mix of Dura-Ace and 105 than Campagnolo but thats just a preference thing.
I would also want to know on the boardman how the Integral top tube cable run became blocked as this is not particularly common and if the cable was not designed to be clipped to the frame doing so may damage the frame or the cable.

The reality is that the Allez does not have the extensive amount of information provided that the boardman does so you are unable to compare them both accurately.

More spec from the specialized
Front forks carbon with zerts
Rear triangle also carbon with zerts
Groupset mostly 105 but with due ace front chain ring
Axis classic wheels nearly new
Great condition

Coming soon: Bonking on a hill near you!
Can’t say good choice or not as I’ve ridden neither, only thing I know is I love my Specialized.

Enjoy it.

I notice the Boardman has a new front wheel and handlebars. Could indicate its been in a crash.

Just noticed you opted for the Specialised. Good Luck, hope it gives you many happy miles. :bicycle:

If the specialized has Zerts, it`ll be a Roubaix if its a carbon frame, or a secteur if its alloy.

I think its only recent secteurs that have a carbon rear triangle, from 2012 on if my failing memory serves.

I'd struggle to buy either... not because i doubt their quality, but because Boardman sounds more like a carpet shop, and Specialized has got a Zed in it... not that I'm picky
