Got a horrible Lenovo laptop temporarily while my own HP is away for a new mic and camera. There are two issues with Internet Explorer, which are driving me mad. How do I stop them happening? I've searched everywhere in the control panel.

1 - Scrolling the mouse wheel makes the text increase and decrease in size rather than scrolling up and down. How do I stop this happening?

2 - When I click on, for example, a topic in a forum the browser opens a new tab at the top of the page instead of just going on to that topic in the tab that's already open. How do I stop this?

Any suggestions?

One your options within the browser. Specifically how it handles links and tabs. Probably set to "open a new tab", you need it to open a link in the same open window

For the mouse scrolling - go to control panel from the start menu and look at the mouse properties. Change the wheel button properties from increase/decrease to whatever you need them to be.
For the tab thing - got to internet options in the control panel and change the tabbed browsing settings.

Edit.// and if after that, it is still doing it...... then you have a stuck Ctrl key:biggrin:
