How do I get the top off this tap to lubricate, or change, the washers to stop it sqeaking and being hard to lift the lever or twiddle it between hot & cold water?

PS There's no visible grub screw that I can find.
PPS I've tried the 'squirt GT85 up it' approach.

Does the lever not unscrew and reveal something behind?

Oh I love puzzles, will the middle section above the outlet loosen, twist anti clockwise, use a damp cloth

Put the tap into the on position and there should be a little grub screw on the back (smooth bit) inside the gap between the tap lever and main tap body. It maybe hidden by a little cover/ silver circle.

Sometimes there's a little cover that you have to prise off with a small screwdriver on the back of the tap. Underneath the cover there may be a grub screw that takes a hex key. Loosen it and the head of the tap should pull off.

I think.....

EDIT: @bikingdad90 beat me to it.
