Nothing has been changed, iv not done any updates or downloaded anything new.

Nothing has been changed but have had my computer bugged before so am possibly a bit over-cautious. Dont think its spam as it wasnt an Email, it was on the Inbox page in the space next to where it says inbox.

Change your email password to be on the safe side lisa

Iv changed my password, I also deleted hotmail and re installed it, and iv done a scan which has come back clear. How can I find out what this programme is that can access my Emails so i can get rid of it?? Nothing is showing up any different. Has anyone got Hotmail?? i take it that message isnt coming up if you have??

The pop thing is telling you that a program has accessed your hotmail account using pop3 usually a program such as outlook, outlook express, windows mail or windows live mail, rather than through a web browser which is probably how you usually access it, if you didnt do it then it is likley that your account has been hacked which is quite common for hotmail accounts as their security is crap, as long as you have changed you password you should be ok.

Google the message and something will come up about it.

Off topic as I can't help the OP... but I love this handy website if you have friends or family who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than google it for themselves.

I HAVE Googled it, its the first thing I did.I couldnt find anything and not being great with computers I thought there would be people on here who are and could maybe help.

You haven't been hacked. It's a new hotmail option to protect you from accidentally deleting messages you want to keep due to not changing the default options on various email clients which delete emails after you've downloaded them. Hotmail thinks you should only delete emails from their webmail page

See this thread and note the reference to the hotmail forums where various folks were annoyed with it and complaining that they couldn't find the referred to option that would allow them to continue deleting emails after they'd downloaded them.
When you say bugged are you talking virus or stalker ?
