i love learning things this way plus i havnt the patiance (sp) of waitin for dad or someone to do it for me so would rather get stuck in im quite liking this fiddling with the bike if i buy any upgrades would like to think i could put them on myself ^_^

Edit: your 34T sprocket has "megadrive" written on it, I wonder if Sega lost that Trademark :blink:
i used to have a megadrive 2 yeeaaaars ago luved it lol :laugh:

ive now got a sticky front brake even tho it still bit has stopping power and a rear brake pad slightly rubbing on the rim :blush:

its looking much nicer without those silver plastic guards.. IMO :whistle:

Not sure if this is relevant but you can adjust the evenness of your brakes using the spring tension screw (see the previous posters diagram). One side will have some effect on the other so just try adjusting each screw so you get the pads to an even distance and each arm moving roughly the same amount. Look on youtube as there are videos to show you how.

is this to adjust the back brake pads?

The screw increases the spring tension so pulls the arm&pad a little further off the rim, its a bit like balancing scales though so overdoing it will make the otherside rub. I normally turn it about a quarter/half turn at a time, then apply the brake and let it retract to see if theyre lined up right. Im sure youtube is better though :smile:

lol thanx pat ;) have luved taking bike to bits n puttin if back again now it's all ready to ride brakes r working fine now just got to get the right seat and handle bar height through trial and error everytime I go out :smile:
