Help needed to remove crankarm

[Shut Up Legs]

I'm removing my Shimano Tiagra cranks for the first time ever, and have removed the left one, but I can't get the right one to remove . As far as I can tell from this diagram, I simply need to pull the hollow axle attached to the right crank out, without needing to remove the crank or its chain rings. Do I need to give it some persuasion, with a rubber mallet or similar? Here's a photo of what it currently looks like:

As a newbie to crank removal, I'd appreciate any tips

OK, never mind, it's out!
Some gentle tapping around the edges of the protruding left end of the axle got the axle out, now I just need to do my first ever BB replacement. Wish me luck.

No worries . I appreciate any responses, particularly since this was my first crank and BB removal. Of course, it turned out to be ridiculously simple, but I didn't know that when I started it.
