Guys I need help sizing a frame. It's a hybrid and just want to double check my sizing. I am 5.9" with 82cm inside leg!

I'm not really sure about ride style to size etc regarding hybrids as i usually ride road bikes

Any help appreciated thanks

What bike is it? I'm your sort of height, would ride a medium or possibly a large or 54cm but it really does depend on the bike and how it's measured! What sort of hybrid...Rigid, hardtail, upright, Dutch style, sports etc etc etc

What's 82cm in old money, given you gave your height in feet and inches

I reckon you will be ok on 54cm frame maybe even 56cm depending on the frame, I am 2" shorter than you and 51cm is ideal for me.
Unless the bike is measured in terms of small, medium, large etc...and the measurement is TT

Go test ride it. What size is your roadbike? You almost want a slightly bigger frame or at least a longer stem because of the bar position being closer to the frame than hoods. I had to put a 2cm longer stem on my PX when converted from drops to flats and I'm still not sure another centimetre wouldn't be better. Need to ride the bike more to assess

My road bike is 56cm recommended by the shop after giving my size. Another shop another bike and they reckon 52cm is ok for my height

Is it the same part of the bike that gives the measurement. You need to compare the geometries, my gut feel is that a 52cm is too small. They presumably have the range of sizes to try..or in LBS style do they just happen to have the 52cm on the shop floor ;)

I did test ride it and it seemed ok but the bars seemed close but thinking because I'm used to drop bars!
It's too small then unless it has a v short stem

Ride the 54cm and 56cm, if much too small and you'll end up with pain in hands, wrists, shoulders and everywhere else possibly too
