I'm in need of some advice...

I have a mid 1990's Thorn Club Tour which used to have 26" wheels, now sporting 700c rims.

I bought during the winter a low rider front rack, think it's a Bor Yeuh (?) rack.

Things sort of line up for the bolts, however the rack seems to be too wide for the front forks, so there's quite a stand off from the rack. Could I squash this to fit? It does look as though it should fit, but I'd like to fit it as correctly as possible. Any clues or other photos to study for inspiration please?

Also... not sure the QR is OK where it is

Thanks in advance

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
I would say that the rack position looks good. My low rider sits just like that.
As long as the QR is sufficiently tight that is OK as well.

Thanks - but what about the top bolt? I cannot do it up, unless I were to find a long spacer to have it standing away from the fork
