Hi all,
New to the forum. Can anyone help me please.
I have had this bike for many years and have been unable to confirm it’s maker. Decals say wilier but unsure? Have not managed to find anything from frame serial number either. Can anyone help!!!!! And finally any ideas on a value?

cheers

paul

The only photo of another Wilier Ti frame I found had really ugly fishscale welds, quite unlike yours.

Yours may be a restickered Airborne or Van Nicolas but it looks a bit more polished (Airbornes were more of a brushed finish). Is there a frame number? Are any of the parts distinctively shaped, like the rear brake bridge?

I’m sorry I can’t help with the ID but that is a fine looking bike.
I agree, I don’t think it is a Wilier, someone has bought a set of decals.

It seems bizarre to "re-badge" a Ti frame, so I'm strongly suspecting a Chinese mail-order job. (XACD?)

(it has several features that make it different to my Airborne, in case that's any help.

The chain-stay is quite distinctive to any experts, I'd think; it's got a chain-guard plate thingy, and the shifter cable-stop looks quite unusual to my eye.)

Thanks matticus I will take a few more pics of the moor details of the frame, maybe this might help someone with the identity.

Hi rogerzilla, frame number is Z3 RS and there is a number 11 on there too. Added some more picks of brake mounting too.
Thanks for your help.

That brake bridge with the holes is distinctive.

Is the right rear lug actually fully attached?
There seems to be a fair size gap between the lug and the tube.

Compare it to the joint on the tube coming down from the top of the seat tube.

Why not e-mail their customer service and see what they help they can give.

Hi classic33,
Well I today received a nice email back from wilier to confirm this is one of their frames. I am very happy with this. They even sent me a couple of pictures of a similar bike which had all the correct brake mountings etc.

Thankyou for the advice, had not thought they would assist with such a request.

just need to attribute a value now and it might go up for sale.
