Hercules low over Cheshire

I was running a quick errand and returning home nr Sandbach when I heard it around 17:30 and it sounded close. It must have been as low as about 500ft and was glorious to watch & hear. It was heading in an easterly direction anybody else see it ?

We have them land and take off from the beach at Saunton occasionally. Awesome sight!

They were quite a common sight over central Birmingham. I think they must have been circling while they were waiting for a landing spot at Birmingham Airport. I haven't seen one for a while so they were probably bringing casualties back to the QE Medical Centre.

Wonderful to watch when you see them roar across Mungrisdale,climb over Caldbeck,drop,and turn West over the Solway,heading out to the Irish Sea.Against the fells,they seem so large,almost right on top of you.Great fun

There's an A-10 not too far from here. Couple of Harrier jump jets.
