Awesome. Gave me a chance to try out my new Aldi legwarmers, discover that the showerproof windshell I got is only a wee bit showerproof, but the softshell midlayer was watertight.

Hated the homewardbound headwind though....

Every homeward ride has a headwind. It's the law!

Once again it is freezing and there are bound to be threads and new topics about the rubbish weather.

Everyone is going to be putting on their thermals and getting frozen fingers, toes, and anything else that sticks out of your body (no not that).

Icicles on the bike and stalegmites from your nose, thats the way it is going to be from now on.

Yes and that. And it will hurt like hell when it thaws out   .

It was that cold this morning I had to put on a long sleeved shirt with my shorts.

Really cold here now, down to 21c........................................

Chilly this morning. Glad I put the semi-windproof on. Will put the thermal skull cap on tomorrow - my head was a bit cool under the lid this morning.

Last nights ride home was the 1st time I thought about wearing my buff, face was feeling the chill.
Had my Montane lightweight jacket over a ss shirt, was just about warm enough, bottom half was spot on with longs and boots

I thought the thread count was dropping off a bit, like the number of bikes on my commute. Not as bad as previous years I think but a bit too early to tell.

Bad weather ? Come on, I love the change in the seasons! You get the ever changing flora and fauna mother nature throws at you, and if you go out in the countryside you pretty much get the place to yourself.

Best of all, the traffic slows on my commute slows down making it safer. Car commuting takes longer in winter so the time saved by cycling is even bigger. Smug or what.

Not only that.. but the numpty fairweather cyclists give up the ghost. So less idiots cyclists weaving & wobbling in front of you at lights and rlj'ing.
