No sooner have the mince pies and Christmas puds gone, the Co-Op have now got Easter eggs out ....

On the one hand I completely agree with the sentiment, it is so wrong. But on the other, I really like hot cross buns so I wish they were available all year.

Apparently mince pies are an all year round item due to popular demand.

I demand that they stop selling them 'out of season'.

There's fewer and fewer things to look forward to at Christmas.

It's one less thing to look forward to on the dietary calendar if it's available all year round.

I daren't tell my wife but I'm getting rather fed up with fresh Raspberries I'd much rather they stayed in Morocco and help to conserve the dwindling stock of avgas.

My local Sainsbury's express was selling Cadburys creme eggs the week before xmas! Even the guys in the store couldn't believe it when they arrived that morning!! Bonkers!

Their extended availability has severely reduced my appetite for them. I probably only buy three a year now whereas I'd happily eat three in a sitting.

I know what you mean although i remember thinking when i saw them that it had definitely been a while since i've seen them on sale and even though they were i had no inclination to buy one what so ever. Far too many years of eating them has worn off the affect.

I bought two creme eggs on Christmas Eve, and we got round to eating them today. Just after a leftover mince pie.

Marks and Sparks sell hot cross buns all year round, I'm quite partial to them on night shifts when the only place open is the local BP

Isn't this the ideal time to bulk buy those individual Christmas puds, with a 12 month shelf life, so that they can be enjoyed all year round?

I don't buy Easter Eggs unless I have to to keep other people happy, ditto hot cross buns.

Thanks for the reminder.

I've just dug out last year's spare Christmas pudding.

Best before date: June 2012

I know what I'm having for tea tomorrow. :hungry:
