OK, third bike in two years. Not a great position to be in, and you never know my CX Comp might turn up. But I'm already thinking about the replacement since I need it for commuting.
The CX Comp was great and I love the disc brakes but I'm thinking maybe it's time I got a relaxed road bike so I can properly tackle sportives and long rides. Assuming my insurance pays out I'll have around £550-650 to spend. I'd like to avoid Halfords if possible, no disrespect to the Boardman bikes which are incredible but I spent the first four months on the last one wishing someone else had built it. I guess I won't get disc brakes on a road bike without spending loads, will I? I'd like something with Sora or SRAM equivalent and sturdyish wheels to take my 115kg. Above all, it needs to be available in a big size since I'm 6'3" with 32" legs.
Any thoughts? I feel horrible for already thinking about this but as I say I need it for commuting.
