format- it's only people's opinion... if we don't discuss things then how can we learn from each other...
In my opinion time is the most precious commodity anyone has, so to spend hours and hours preparing items of food has a cost which is reflected in the charge HB has to recover to be able to do it. My opinion is that it isn't worth it... and that is as valid as someone who thinks it is worth it. If we can't express our opinions on a cycling forum, what's the point of being here... is a non cycling thread on a cycling forum a waste of time, probably yes... but then it's our own time we are wasting!

What good did innovation do? Sometimes things are improved, sometimes they're not.
One man's mashed potato maybe as good as another's pomme puree....

My point is good design doesn't cost more than bad design, or put another way, there's an optimum amount of time to spend on a thing.... obsessing about the details to the nth degree is a waste of time whether it be bikes, houses or food preparation.

I agree with everything you've said there, apart from the first bit. Unless Philippe Starck is involved in which case you are likely to end up with an expensive load of sh1te.

I'd never tell you not to express your opinion, but I reserve the right to criticise the opinion itself. Nothing wrong with that, surely?

Blimey, the best thing I ever invented food wise was Beans on toast, even then I am not sure I was the first to get there.
"Haricots en Sauce de Tomate sur pain grillé", you mean.

The difference between 'cooking a meal' and 'creating a dining experience' is basically that you have to 'source' your ingredients, rather than simply go down Lidls. I don't have time for any of this fancy 'sourcing' malarkey.

Now, how do you keep the b*st*rd snails in the blender?

I dont care how many Michelin stars so called 'celebrity' or 'TV' chefs have none of them could make a Pot Noodle without having dry bits left at the bottom of the pot. It really is one of lifes mysteries, it doesn't matter how long you leave it standing...
You gourmets are always so fussy.
