Hey, starting to get back into mountain biking after a 3 year break and back op. Been out a couple of times and holy crap my fitness levels are way worse than I thought they were! :laugh:
 
Hi Welcome to the forum.
I know how you feel, just took up cycling after 38 years of
life getting in the way.
Been doing only 5km Two days on with the Third off, for Two
weeks now, and am still struggling with breathing too fast.
And just as bad, am speeding up nothing, same time for every ride including the first.
How’s that for being unfit.
 
owdo @TimmoUK another here still riding after spinal surgery, nowhere near as much as before but its certainly better than the alternative,

@Shadow121 keep working at it the fitness will come:bicycle::bicycle: try not to concentrate on speed and maybe increase the distance a little each week (or two) most of all make sure you enjoy the ride.
