My front lawn is dotted with Snowdrops so spring can't be that far away.

Aye, the snowdrops the sign that spring is near. Then the crocuses, daffodils, bluebells and tulips. But before all these beauties there is no doubt a ton of snow to fall on us and a few more severe frosts before winter is truly done.

Even with the heavy snow this winter it seems to have been a better one than the previous years.Roll on spring though, when i'm leaving work at 5pm it's still light which is nice

Looking at sunrise tables it would appear that it will be the end of April beofre I can set off from home without needing lights!

I do finish at 4pm so have been getting home before sunset, still have the lights on so I can be seen though.

I'm thinking light nights are not so good because the idiots in cars seem to be taking stupid risks overtaking cyclists.A bit of darkness seemed to make them wary,we cannot win can we ??;)

Really nice going out for a ride in the country starting at 9 pm and returning at 10pm, still in the light, wearing just a T shirt and shorts, at the end of sunny and warm day......

Oh dear, fell asleep again.

And you're right Crankarm - it really is light after 5:03 pm now.

Home by 5.20pm and it was almost light enough to have no lights on,another week maybe.
Had a cracking POB tonight red light jumping,up and down the kerbs,at one junction I filtered to the front into the ASL he comes past me lights on red, goes forward another 10 yards until he was risking getting hit by the cars crossing the junction, lights go green and I'm past him in the blink of an eye,why do they bother, could have easily just stayed behind me.

Because they have the same silly attitude to other people and life in general as the drivers who RLJ, have to overtake anything (especially on 2 wheels) in front of them, etc.

The only safe and sensible way to react is to let them get on with it. If you overtake them afterwards fine, but never put yourself at risk just because they're annoying. (And it's in very bad taste to laugh when they get it wrong and DO get hit).

Just found it quite amusing tbh, when I first saw him was just about to let on,but noticed he had earphones in so might not hear me anyway.
Then it became clear he was a chav:biggrin:

In which case please replace the word 'bad' with the word 'good' in my bracketed sentence.

Apologies for the error
