Hi and from Sunny (but a bit windy) Norfolk.

I am very envious of where you live, but not at all envious of all your hills. Good luck getting back on your bike. Just take it slow and steady and you will be sorted in no time.
I had a mirror fitted to my down tube for a while, after a rather nasty crump a few years back. Being able to see what was sneaking up behind me was beneficial to me. I believe that you can buy such mirrors commercially now. I just had double sided sticky tape and a couple of cable ties. Just a thought anyway, as it gave me more confidence when riding.

Thank you saluki, fortunately there are a lot of country lanes in Cornwall without any traffic so I've got my route worked out, only 25 mile but I'm going to do it sensibly, if my back and bum don't give up before I'm ready to.
A s for the hills, you just cannot avoid them down here, there everywhere.

I have just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow and it is supposed to be really nice in Cornwall, cold but sunny!
so, I have decided to bring forward my first ride since my accident in January
I don't think Tuesday, which is when I'd originally planned to go out is supposed to be as nice now, so I'm mentally ready (me thinks!)
Hopefully my body will be up to it, bit worried about a few things but If I don't go I know I will hate myself for the rest of the week.
