I was a mountain bike racer back in the nineties but age and dodgy knees got the better of me somewhat and i was forced to give it up. I got out of riding for about 15yrs but in late 2016 bought a road bike and a 29er and re-discovered my love of cycling.
My main focus for cycling now is competing in the British Cycle Quest and touring around the country in pursuit of visiting as many checkpoints and other interesting places as possible.
In addition to competing in the BCQ I am now the Berkshire Social Ride Ambassador for the 'Fat Lad At the Back' company and organise regular rides to try to encourage people in to getting out on their bikes.
I also blog about the BCQ on my website and have a YouTube channel.
