Hello Merit - welcome to CC ... ^_^

Hi Merit - just go for a major brand and you won't go too far wrong.

The main question is whether you go standard double/compact or triple - and that depends on your legs and the local terrain..

You might have to explain the double standard triple thing

Double - two chain rings (those on the front - attached to the pedals)
Compact - Double with a super small ring - means changing rings isn't too neat, but gives you a low gear without loosing anything at the top end.
Triple - three chain rings. All the fun of a compact and more without any of the problems. Except more money leaking out of your pocket.
