Dont want to hijack Nicks welcome thread here but yes I do know about CC Ecosse, wife works every weekend so I struggle, my rides end up unplanned and at odd times. I'm also a total noob so hoping to build up a bit of road craft and fitness for spring, then I'll make a point of joining a ride and making the wife take a day off. Only been riding my road bike for a few weeks but already seeing good progress.
