Hi from Barnsley

Hi everyone. I've recently taken up cycling again after more than 25 years of not riding a bike. I have an old 1990 Claud Butler Pagen and I have just purchased a new Boardman Hybrid Comp.

I have also booked a 6 week bike maintenance course so that I can learn about what's changed in the 20 years I've been away.

Anyway, just thought I'd say hello.

Hi from an ex Yorkshireman now living oop north in Durham. I was away for 35 [ish] years and to be honest not much has changed. Now we have ten speed cassettes instead of seven, carbon fibre [if you want it] and more sealed [read as unfixable] bearings. A few different fittings but as to how much better they are is up to the individual. Anyway have fun !

I went on the first session last week and everyone's bike was about 20 years old anyway

The only thing new on my Boardman bike is Disc Brakes that I know nothing about.

Yep, ride east towards Doncaster and beyond and the next serious hills are The Ural Mountains!
