Hi from Beckenham, nr London

I've started commuting from Beckenham to central London on a bikes as of two weeks ago. I used to cycle a lot; but then slowly did less and less until about 7 years ago when I pretty much stopped. I haven't been on a bike since. Now, I'm doing 100 miles a week and am finding it easier and certainly cheaper than dealing with the hell that is commuter trains.

Welcome aembleton. As above, there are regular Sunday rides from a meeting point in Bromley to the smoke.

I head through Beckenham (chinese garage) on my morning commutes, so might catch you on the road some time. Look out for a cyclechat jersey on a recumbent.

Ps. I was born there too. As were my sisters. Presumably this was the Bromley area maternity unit at the time.
