Hello everyone from County Durham. Usual story, started cycling 8 years ago to get fit. Was a member of a local cycling club until this year but couldn't find the time to commit to the club fully (helping out with events and club meets). I have raced in the crits at the Croft Motor Racing Circuit and I did the Northern Rock Cyclone Sportive 2 years ago. My bikes are a Trek Madone 5.2 and a Genesis Day One Alfine which I purchased on Thursday. I was out on the Genesis for the first time this morning, and although it weighs the same as my VW Beetle, I love it.
I have 2 questions for any other Day One owners.
1. Are your brakes as crap as mine?
2. Do you have to adjust the gearing (line the yellow lines up) on every ride?
