Hi folks,

My name is Mark, i've just started cycling again after a layoff of about 15 years, looking forward to getting back onto the saddle again.
This forum looks a great community for cyclists, i have picked up so many tips already from browsing the threads, you all seem a friendly bunch too. ^_^

I look forward to contributing,

Regards Mark.

Welcome...

I cycled through Donisthorpe yesterday, whilst visiting rellies...

They weren't lying when they named Hill Street were they! Why that isn't a strava segment,I have no idea...

Enjoy the forum!

I was back in Manchester this morning... It's been a hectic weekend...

That hill did nearly kill me though. I turned into Donisthorpe lane from short health road, are having just had a nice little bit of a run downhill, and nearly died when I saw that hill!

I cycled from Woodville to Ashby to begin with, had a stop off there to show my face at a fete that was running at the place where my aunt works.

From Ashby I headed to Burton, via Netherseal, Coton, Drakelow, Stapenhill etc and then wound up in Midway at the mothers. Finally back to Woodville having covered 30miles during the day, with my first continuous 20

Its great riding round there. Repton and the surrounding areas, inc Foremarke, Ticknall, Calke etc is next on the list

You in @Baggies Man? Trying to organise something with @cyberknight at some point if you fancy it?

Yeah i'd be up for that, but give me a few weeks first to 1) get saddle hardened 2) get a bit of confidence the new bike 3) build up a bit of stamina so i can keep up with you guys. Following that, count me in.

Sounds good to me dude. If you wanna go for a bit of a "confidence ride" at a nice steady pace I'd be up for that. Always good to find people to cycle with.

I'd also recommend signing up to mycyclinglog and joining the Cyclechat group. I find that good inspiration, especially when I remember to log my rides!
