Hi all
I am currently riding an old Raleigh Pioneer that I bought from flea bay for £75.
I have had it a year and all it has cost me so far has been 2 new tyres and inner tubes.
Mainly use it for commuting to and from work around 3.5 miles each way.
I am thinking of getting a cheapish mountain bike for fitness I will probably go the second hand route again as I could not afford a new decent quality bike.

True there are not many mountains in Suffolk, not even many slopes.
But I would like to go off road onto the trails and so thought a mountain bile would be better option.

Welcome from me over here.
Its not a bad idea to get a couple of second hand bikes and then perhaps buy new at a later date when you have decided what you want to do..

Hi suffolk and :welcome: from another Raleigh Pioneer rider.

What are the trails you plan to ride like? My old Pioneer Jaguar will cope with gravel and dirt trails (but not mud) on a set of Schwalbe Marathon touring tyres.
