Hi from Maldon, Essex

For the last few years I have been riding a Wisper ebike but thanks to a young Polish Fiesta driver who barged me off the bike and into the kerb a while ago, the bike has been barely used and I recently parted company with it. It was heavy and at 81 I thought it was time to fulfil a long-held ambition to own a Brompton. So I now own one - a 1993 T5 in immaculate condition being a one owner and totally unchanged from when it left the factory, however it has had some use. I love it but will be doing some upgrades to make it more suitable for my needs and I look forward to getting help on this amazing forum, so thanks for letting me join!

Indeed I am if you are still nearby. Maldon is fine for cycling but Market Hill, going up, on a T5 is a walking job!

I'm still local (Braintree), but not cycling any more. Market Hill was fun in descent, if you got a bit of speed up you could really lay into the bend at the steepest point. I was a member of Maldon Camera club at one time too, and used to go out with the Maldon Barge Match (for the photos, not the sailing).
