hi everybody.

just saying hello & introducing myself. i'm from N.Ireland. mid ulster area. are there many people on here from n.ireland?

new to cycling :smile: started because i chose 2011 to get fit, purchased a ridley triton as my first bike.. any tips or advice will be welcomed..

how long before i'm lance armstrong??? lol

Welcome. You are going to have plenty of hills to practise on .... whether little drumlins or the bigger ones in the Sperrins... Route 95 goes past what used to be my grandparents farm.

Dree hill near Dromara is amazing, very few vehicles, very steep and really scenic, surface isn't too great, but bearing in mind all the stuff I mentioned before you won't notice! Follow on through to the Kilkeel road up to Spelga Dam and you're on for a special beasting!
 
Hi and welcome to the forum. Also from Northern Ireland, and as you can see from the County Down area. My cycling area is the Ards peninsula from Bangor to Portaferry/Portavogue route and along the coast from Bangor to Holywood/Belfast.
