Don't be daunted, just get out and enjoy yourself, all the rest (speed/distance) will come in due course.That I can understand. Try some quieter roads to start with and when you venture on to the busier ones don't hug the kerb like most beginners do as this gives the motorist the impression that they can overtake you even when it may not be safe to do so. (It also gives you space to escape into if they pass too close).Thanks Phil.

im impressed already. You are doing a cycle maintenance course well done. Most of us just post and ask and get back all sorts. Within it though will be some great advice and usually the answer to our problem and of course lots of chuckles.
