You'll be fine, there's plenty of good riding time before the winter weather closes in. Layers are the key when it starts to get cooler, but hopefully you won't want those for a while yet.

Hi Magpie, I'm in Oxfordshire too, some wonderful rides round South of the county, don't worry about the weather, I'm not planning to stop for the winter, though it may mean I have to plan my rides earlier in the day. Hope you enjoy your new bike! Be warned though, riding can rapidly become seriously addictive!
