Hi,

I returned to cycling around the turn of the year, after a 12 - 15 year break, 3 miles was all my unfit body could manage, at the time. I now commute to work, once or twice a week, a 32 mile round trip, on either of my bikes, a Specilized Rockhopper disc 2009, or a Specialized Allez Triple.

2 weeks ago, I rode coast to coast, really enjoyed it, despite the weather on the Sunday morning. A review of the trip is at http://wrracing.net/c2c/ I'm thinking of trying the Pennine cycleway next year.

Norm, I keep meaning to get up to the Lookout and buy a permit, but it's something I haven't done just yet.
