Completed round 7 this morning and although the distance was only 13-miles, it was windy and the first 20-minutes was only doing 8mph. I also managed my first big (For me) climb, and didn't get off but was out of the saddle a bit as the rise just went on and on. The wind is the spoiler for me at the minute as I had the same 20mph winds last weekend, and it takes some getting used to. So a few months after suffering a heart attack I feel really fit and well, and know I'm not going to rush things or do too much, but averaging 11mph in these conditions and some fairly lumpy terrain, I'm chuffed to bits.
Those of you who have given me advice about road position etc, many thanks much easier now.
