Taken 4 days to get here from sunny Radcliffe via Hull, Zeebrugge, Colmar and Como.
Sleet, snow and zero temperatures south of Lucerne but very nice to see and feel the sun again.

Got fitted with the bike yesterday afternoon a De Rosa carbon with Campag groupset and did a 22 mile circuit through the Tuscan Hills after a super lunch. 680 metres of ascent was a bit of a shock to the lungs but the lack of weight of the bike made it manageable.
Fabulous dinner last night.

Better than working, morning ride today before Gran Fondo on Sunday..

We are heading for Tuscany tomorrow for a week. North of Massa. Good to hear that it is sunny.

The weather gets warmer next week. So we hear.

50 kms this morning with 1,001 metres of climbing.
Great bike but not too keen on the Campag gear shifting.
It is brand new and may quieten down, who knows.
Very confident with the superb brakes.
Wind picking up now, off for massage.

Toughest day ever for me in the saddle. Bonkers at the start. Italians ride their bikes as they drive their cars.
Short route completed 93 kms and 1,505 metres of climbing.
Two days left then 4 days "rest" on the long drive home.
More of a holiday for a fitter rider than me. Someone used to a better than a 12 mph average.
