Yes Texas, USA. I'm a Cornishman who moved to Houston a few years back and I thought I'd register to a least keep tabs on cycling stuff back home.

I ride most days for fitness and fun rather than commuting. Mostly mountain biking with the odd 100 thrown on the road bike once a month or so.

After 7 years living with 100f temps and 100% humidity I'm still not used to it and miss cooler days riding the north Cornish coastline.

Cheers.

Hi

I'll bet 100 milers in the Texas heat are real killers huh? Welcome to CC by the way ;)

The hardest part is carrying enough water, sometimes I'll leave the house with 3 litres in camelbak and another 2 in bottles.

The heats ok if you keep moving, making your own breeze, but as soon as you stop, :?:!!

Training with Armstrong must be tough too!

Welcome!

I can't say I've trained with him, but I've been in mountain bike races he's been in. He's there at the start and then voom, gone. I was just happy not to get lapped by him.
