Hi, newbie from St Helens looking for someone to ride with

Hi all,

I'm in the St Helens/Liverpool general area and looking for someone/a group to go out for a ride with. I'm reasonably new to the area & whole cycling game and only have a hybrid bike, but I still aim for about 100 miles a week. It'd be good to find out a few new routes etc...

Only a hybrid!!! They're the best sort, far more useful with a set of panniers on.

No such thing as 'only' wrt ones bike. It's your bike, it does what you want it to do and you enjoy it.
Unless of course one has designs on N = n = 1 .....

Hi Newbie, I'm new to the site today so hi to all. we live in Ashton so not to far away. You probably need to get north of the East Lancs road for some good lanes. Use the cyclepath up to Rainford roundabout then turn left to go out to the Hayloft at Lydiate where you should meet some other cyclists. Or go up to Crank via Fairfileld Hospital (passing it!) and then out to Kings Moss, Ashurst Beacon etc. A good lunch stop is Ecclestone Delph (Google it). Anyway you will enjoy.

i usually just pootle upand down lancs/raiford bi pass, sometimes up to trans pennine trail
