Hello Folks,

What's the consensus on Hi-Viz Helmets?

I'm a newbie and planning to start doing a 22 mile round trip through Manchester.

Cheers

IMHO anything hi-viz is a good thing if it makes you stand out and gives you a better chance of being seen then go for it

I've got the hardnutz orange hi viz one.
I like it, as said above, it can only help get you noticed, a nice load of reflective strips too.

Too be fair though, you can't rely on high vis to keep you safe. Your eyes, ears and spidey sence need to do that.

I'd find a set of lights to put up there, far more visible IMO.

I have a pair of Lezyne femto's on mine 1 front and 1 rear, small, unobtrusive, no odd shifting of the weight and very powerful for a small light. Ideal be seen clearly over the tops of cars. My only fettle is to have used cable ties to attach them as the rubber bands supplied are bar size not helmet vent size.
