Just been informed by a colleague that at Hull Cycle Hub in the station they are giving away free cycle safety packs, which include a hi viz vest, light set & valve lights. Probably not top end stuff but its free 
Apparently they are paid for with money raised on speed awareness courses
Typically I find out just after I've finished work & have 5 days off, but hopefully there will be some left next week

Why aren't they spending it on something actually likely to improve cyclist safety, such as copies of the current highway code for motorists, or some flexiposts to reduce dick-driving into cycle lanes?
