I fell in love with cycling all over again last year when I had to move out of my house and into a tiny flat - the fact I could now cycle to work was about the only good thing about it, and those times spent in the saddle helped me face the day.

I now own a lovely hybrid bike which gives me very little trouble (thank god, as I have no clue how to maintain it) and would like to have more adventures on it. Hence, joining the group.

I've already posted a thread asking for cycle-buying advice and I look forward to chatting to everyone!

Hi Carrie and welcome to CycleChat..

Watch out for that grumpy old so and so Norm... one mention of the word *Hybrid* send's him all a quiver..

Thanks everyone, been away for a couple of weeks, but looking forward to chatting more now.

Will steer clear of Norm and his hybrid-ist views. Whatever bike you're comfortable riding is best, I say. I think grown men on BMXs look a bit silly, riding along with their knees by their ears, but if they're happy, I'm happy!
