Hi everybody!

New here, first post, just wanted to say hi...

Hi.

Been cycling for years but not as heavily as the last two years, got a new job a couple of years back based 10 miles away so do a 20 mile round trip every day. Started as a way to save a few quid on petrol and loose a bit of weight..... Has now become highly addictive exercise!!

Just recently hung up the old (and rather tired) Dawes Kalahari and bought the 2010, ahem caugh, caugh.... Boardman Comp (bring on the flames...) Halfords does suck, even fitted the barends upside down! The bike is lovely though.

So anyways, up until last week I'd never taken anything apart on my bikes.... A smart bike toolkit and some internet knowledge later (RIP Sheldon Brown) and now I'm a bottom bracket and cassette expert, just want to push my limited knowledge a little further.

So, here I am, thanks for having me.

Steve.

No one is going to flame you about your Boardman comp. They are very well regarded bikes around these parts and a good few CC'ers ride them.

Hiya Steve, another Greater London rider here. Welcome, I'm sure you'll find some useful stuff on maintenance... of course it's all been said before so that search function is handy if you don't want a stiff ignoring from the CC old timers.
Nice avatar by the way. Meeep!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

I've been on various forums over the years and know from then that it's always a good idea to use the search function before asking an obvious question, old timers don't like the newbs too much :-)

And yes, it's just a weird way of writing 'some bloke', although it could of been '50m3810k3', but that would have confused me too!!
