High tide on the Thames

Thrilling sight at Richmond Lock last night when the river was so high it had spilled on to the road (about 1 to 2 ft under in places). Not so thrilling this morning when I slipped on residue and landed on my arse. Made a right mess of my nice new Santini Gel shorts.

God's way of telling you it's wrong to wear white shorts.

 I hope you don't wear those shorts when it rains.

And I've just seen the pic of your bike. You're a brave brave man.

Shave those legs, who wears the pants in your life then?

My wife won't let me, she prefers the furry look, besides, I wouldn't know where to stop....

Those shorts and that bike? I'll bet she's called Greg.

You had to expect some jibes didn't you?!

White shorts - I'd have a go myself, but I'm only jealous because I can't even get away with wearing a white t-shirt.

You're all jealous. i must say that there have been one or two comments in the playground when I've dropped the kids off at school....

Does white enhance the size or is it just the Gel insert?

I suppose I should have know better than to get simpathy here .

I shall continue to wear them (along with the Pink liquigas ones - which FlyingFox will be pleased to hear match the bike beautifully) as I find motorists tend to see me and take notice more, than if I was just in the High viz urban camo.
