Just as an FYI for this, they often hand out more tickets than there are seats, so get there early if you want to be sure of getting in.

True - says on the ticket: "Please note that this e-ticket does not guarantee entry. We have to oversubscribe in order to compensate for 'no-shows' and ensure a full audience. We strongly recommend that you allow plenty of time before the doors open in order to secure your place in the queue."

Having said that, I've been to lots of recordings and only didn't get in once, as we turned up late. If your up for queuing for 15mins your pretty much guaranteed a seat...

Anyway – not takers yet…/

I would if I lived nearer... out of interest - how much longer is the recording than the show? I always wonder how much they cut out.

About 2 hours if I recall. They do a few extra questions and edit out the really libellous stuff or stuff that doesn’t work

Just out of interest, saw They Think It’s All Over a few years ago – that was done in one take, no break, just an extra question each I think, and nick Hancock did the “Tonight on BBC 1 at 9 o’clock” trail twice – all over in about 50 mins

Watched a couple of episodes of Coupling and I’m Alan Partridge – for those they did each scene twice (Coogan stayed “in character” throughout – chatting with the audience as AP - very funny) – so those took about an hour and a half to two hours each, with a warm up comedian telling gags during set changes.

Been to the BBC Radio Theatre a few times as well – lovely building and well worth a visit with free tickets. I get them directly off the BBC ticket website, or from HatTrick Website. Always worth a look – have had several decent free nights out…
