Are you implying GrasB is a super villain turned good with an unlimited supply of minions?

Which leads me to my next question... Are you drunk?

I scratched around for the sizzling 45 bhp power figure of my old 900cc Fiat Panda. A modern F1 race car develops about 1000 bhp with a 1500cc engine. They also have some pretty clever aerodynamics which suck them down onto the road so that they can corner at stupid speeds. Now get this.....
.....the downforce is so great that, at 200+ mph you could drive them upside down across the ceiling...

I'm not sure it would be advisable to brake.

You'd need like a rilly rilly big ceiling.

Tis true this..., it's an aeroplane in reverse, people get amazed by this and some disbelief, but the same people don't bat an eyelid at the fact that an A380 has a maximum take-off weight of over 650 tonnes.

The police officer may be trained but what about the car in front?
If you pulled out in front of the car that the police are chasing and caused it to have to brake, I expect the police would be quite happy that you had made it slow down, no?

When they had turbos back in the day they made 1500bhp for one qualification lap from a 1.5. For the race they were turned down to about 1000ish. The new turbo engines introduced this season produce a puny 700-750 (with the electric gubbins helping) from a 1.6

One extra thing that needs correcting that has annoyed me so much its forced me to post - the small VW car, you're all spelling it wrong. It's an UP! and when you say it out loud you have to say up exclamation mark, or shout it suddenly to emphasise the "!"

No in my world you've actually had enough of a clue to do proper obs, make sure there are no vehicles approaching at a much higher than normal speed & not pulled out. This seems to be the concept you're deliberately missing for the sake of being high & mighty.

Bullying, idiot, aggressive, dangerous, antisocial, speeding BMW drivers can either slow down behind or pay my insurance claim.

People should read the road a little better and not pull out on cars regardless of how fast they are travelling (in my opinion).

Regardless? No upper limit at all?

Maybe its just me, but if a car is in sight when I'm looking to pull out of a junction I will clock it for a few seconds to check its approach speed, if the car is going some then I'm not gonna pull out in front of it, if I do then I'll get a move on for sure. I will do my best to avoid inconveniencing (ie causing them to brake for me) another motorist in more than a hurry than myself, but I'm nice like that ^_^

If I pull out and a car decides to speed up afterwards, well thats another matter!

So the faster we go, the more people will defer to us? That must be why 20 mph limits are starting to be adopted in town centres, to try and put a stop to that idea.
I'd never think to set off from a side junction into the path of another vehicle on the main road because that's what "Give Way" means but whether I would do so in a 20mph area, knowing that a speeding car was approaching, for the purpose of deliberately slowing it down to the 20mph limit is something I'd never thought of.... until now!

Reminds me of when my uncle used to be a firefighter serving at a retained station. He used to drive down the other side of the road when he got a callout to avoid other motorists that would pull out of junctions in front of him.
