@Milzy best thing is to ride there and up the hill to your viewing spot.

I know what you mean but taking wife & young one. Not sure they can stand there for four hours though.

Good luck @Legs

Let us know how you do :okay:
Thanks Martin.

It was amazing today; the support was incredible and the noise was deafening on the steep part of the climb. Just the best experience I’ve ever had being on a bike.

I didn’t actually have a great ride - I did 3:05.1, 478W average, 110th out of 296. With the form I had a few weeks ago I’d have expected to have been 10s faster relative to others around me, but it doesn’t really matter; I was mainly there for a Good Time rather than a good time.

My brother and I were off only minutes apart so we were able to get this shot after the finish. 😁

Came across a hill climb event on one of my local hills today. I was riding the opposite way. Good to watch especially as I once did 40 hill repeats on the same hill, and use it for longer VO2 max efforts

The atmosphere was excellent, if intermittently a bit damp. My partner was, as she put it, 'Fastest LOL (little old lady)', meaning fastest woman over sixty, with 5.2 watts/kg and a time of 4:31, so she was pleased. It's a long way to go for a sub-kilometre, ride !

To hit that time I’d need to average close to 400 watts. Not going to happen. Well done your partner.
