hire company software

Does anyone have any suggestions for some software similar to the type car hire companies use?

The sort of thing where you click on an image of a car to see the spec and cost and can then book it?

In the short term maybe a photo gallery (not flickr etc) where discriptions can be seen after clicking the image?

Sorry, don't want to give too much away at the moment but I'm sure you get the idea of what we're planning!

A lot of smaller companies just have a website with everything on and prices...then you phone up to book.

Don't know about actual software to manage online bookings and things, but I imagine that it's more likely something you'll need to get made for you, rather than just being able to buy and go.

http://www.rentman.co.uk/ is "the UK’s leading vehicle rental management system". Never used it, the only context in which I've heard of it was a comparative evaluation of it and a custom software project that a client at a previous job did a long long time ago.

My employer was eventually commissioned to write a custom replacement for the custom software peoject as they didn't like rentman, but they rejected my suggestion that we should call our project "rentboy"
