Hey All,

Looking for some help on a bike I now have.

Its a 'Trusty Manufacturing Company' Pavemaster

All I know so far is that its a young child to early teens size (about 9 to 13 year old)
Dated around 50's - 60's?
Its totally original and still has the saddle bag and pump with it.

My kids think its a "cool shape with those crazy old brakes"

I'm going to keep it, clean it up, but leave it as it is I think.

No its not you, that's how the forks look. Ive had a really good look at both forks and they are totally symmetrical, I cant see any obvious folding, bends, cracks or warping. I'm hoping to compare this with any pictures I can find to see if this how they were made. Thanks for reply

I've found a pic on Flickr that would suggest your bike might've been frontended at some point

Unless it's just the angle your photo was taken from!
Love the postie style rack on the front
Thanks for the link, Yes It looks like your right mine may have been front ended at some point, the picture in the link does look to have straighter forks than mine.
Its something biggs682 also noticed, Is it worth getting them sorted (its only a couple of mm or so but now its been pointed out its going to bug me) or maybe be best left alone??

I would guess this bike has been shunted into a wall (bent forks), hence why it's survived!!. I'm 80% sure this is the MAYFLOWER model. I used to have exactly the same.
