Op says it was minor but I wouldn't class it as so. Minor in my veiw is a light tap at 5mph not 25+ and looking like she nearly took him out.
She refused to give details and the copper seemed productive, not sure if he could do anything but nothing doesn't seem right.

Windows seem illegally tinted as well on the golf(front sides). It doesn't look like it lets 70% light in.
I have a feeling this driver is not legit. Red flags all over the place for me.

Here for rides.
Could a more assertive position when passing the buses have helped avoid the collision?

[/:evil: advocate.]If that video got submitted inspector knacker in these parts would have something to say, at length about cyclists who go on red and amber and cyclists who run amber lights, and cyclists who undertake HGV's, and cyclists who cross the front most line of an ASL when the lights are red. ime.

They will want to ascertain if the cyclist had a reasonable belief their bike had been damaged or their person injured such that it was a collision that required the driver to stop, hard to do given the cyclist was happy to chase down the driver, and whether or not the cyclist's behaviour was in any way threatening or amounted to an assault.
And in what way is the assumed ethnic origin of the driver relevant?[:evil:advocate]

And if I could have a quid every time I got hit by a door mirror.....

Although I wouldn't usually advocate this type f things, if she's refusing to stop, the police are refusing to to anything then its time for a sharp implement down the shiny paintwork.
Could have finished the job and took the other mirror for the lady since she clearly doesn't want them.

Met police being helpful as ever!!

She also RLJ at the end as well so road safe plus complain to met regarding total inaction of the PC

Yeah, the ASL encroachment is an TS10 offence, let alone leaving the scene. Fat useless copper as ususal.

I agree with everything your saying apart from questioning whether the ethnic origin of the driver is relevant , its a description of a driver and is as relevant as the number plate or colour of the car.

As to ethnic origin.

The car is brand new (march 13) and if like all the Indian/Asian girls I know "daddy" would have most likely have purchased the car for them and would kill them if they've had an accident and could explain why she's drives away!!

Wot Mallory said, also if by any chance she has 3 points already another offence in the first year after taking her test would mean a ban, re-test, gigantic insurance premiums.

I always dread the day that some total moron attempts a move like that on me. The police van driver might not have been helpful, but I hope he gets a result if / when he reports it. By the way, I winced when the cyclist undertook the lorry, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt in the circumstances.

Actually, if she passed her test in the last year a Failing To Stop may be an instant ban on it's own. Kind of a built-n reason for idiots like that to flee the scene. What did she say? Can't make it out.
